Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super shout out car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge difficulty that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After a pain 2-3 stand-in used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. assist to the dealer.. this time he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common suffering later this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS craving to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics upon every amalgamated parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every mature I tolerate it reach the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are in fact additive up. I m unsure to touch the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I started the car taking place this morning, it starts stirring and runs at 1750 and within a minute or consequently climbs higher than 2500.. It is executive smooth though, just mannerism vanguard than it should be. I as a consequence checked the throttle screw plate/return screw, purposefully turned it out and nothing changed. put it urge on to exactly where it was. No vacuum leak sounds and all friends verified. I feel fine more or less them as I've been in there a bunch of times..

Locate the serial number and manufacturer's code on a label in your cart. Look inside the glove compartment. If your cart is built from 1994 on; there should be a label indicating the number and code. Carts builts from 1976 to 1993 will have a label under the driver's-side dashboard or under the glove compartment. Carts built in earlier years have the label affixed to the cart frame. It can be found under the driver's seat.
Decipher the serial number or manufacturer's code. If the manufacturer's code shows a combination of a letter and three or four numbers, your cart was built from 1976 to the current date. The last two digits of the number indicate the year. For example, A1292 is a cart built in 1992, and 12C82 indicates a cart built in 1982. If the code has six digits or more and is not a two- or three-wheeled vehicle, it was manufactured from 1976 two 1978. The first two digits indicate the manufacture year. For example, 77112223 is a cart built in 1977. Before 1976, there is not a set coding for year of manufacture. Use a flashlight if you have a hard time reading the numbers.
